RFO FA CLINCH MAIDEN SCOUTED YOUTH LEAGUE TITLE AS JOSHUA ADEKUNLE SHINES.

The inaugural edition of the SCOUTED YOUTH LEAGUE came to a successful conclusion on Sunday, with RFO FA of IBADAN crowned champions after an outstanding campaign that saw them emerge as the best team in the competition.

Founded by ADEKUNLE MAROUPH (JAGUAR), a Saki-born football entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Jaguar Sports FC, the Scouted Youth League was established to provide a genuine platform for talented young footballers to gain exposure to professional clubs, scouts, and football agents across the world.

Driven by the vision of "Be Seen, Be Scouted," the competition partnered with leading football scouting and data platforms, including SOFASCORE, *AFRISKAUT, EYESBALL, and NORDENSA TRANSFER. These partnerships enabled participating players to have their performances documented and made accessible to international scouts and talent recruiters, creating valuable opportunities beyond the local game.

The maiden edition attracted several respected football academies from across the South-West, including IWALEWA FA (Saki), TOE FA (Ogbomoso), ORIADE FA (Osun State), VIA FA (Ibadan), alongside other promising grassroots clubs.

After months of competitive football and impressive displays of young talent, RFO FA lifted the historic first Scouted Youth League trophy, becoming the competition's inaugural champions.


The league also celebrated exceptional individual and team performances during a colourful awards ceremony held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Former Super Eagles stars MUTIU ADEPOJU  and OLADIMEJI LAWAL presented the awards to the deserving winners.

Joshua Adekunle enjoyed a remarkable tournament, finishing as both the competition's Best Player and Top Scorer, while Malik Lawal's outstanding performances between the posts played a key role in RFO FA's championship-winning campaign.


Special recognition goes to ADEKUNLE MAROUPH,whose vision and commitment transformed the idea into a reality. Through the Scouted Youth League, he has created a platform that offers young footballers not only the chance to compete but also the opportunity to pursue professional careers on the global stage.

With a memorable first chapter now written, the Scouted Youth League has laid a solid foundation for what promises to become one of Nigeria's premier youth football competitions.
